Cool Kind Nails is a values-led nail studio rooted in care, creativity, and community.
Based in the heart of St. Boniface, Winnipeg, we specialize in premium gel services, custom hand-painted nail art, and thoughtful 1:1 nail experiences.
Founded in 2024 by Bella, Ally, and Syd, CKN was built to raise the standard in the nail industry and create a better experience for both clients and nail artists.
Meet Ally 🌈
Owner, Lead Educator + In-House Nail Magician
Ally (she/they) brings nearly a decade of experience and is known for bold, vibrant, and unconventional nail art.
They’re all about capturing each client’s unique vibe and giving back to the industry through mentorship and education.
When not behind the nail desk, you’ll find Ally geeking out over new nail supplies or reorganizing one of their many trinket collections.
Meet Bella ⭐
Owner, Chaos Coordinator + Designated Salon BFF
Bella (she/her) has loved the beauty industry since childhood—starting with an early obsession with painting people’s nails any chance she got.
Though she’s not at the nail desk, her ultimate role is keeping everything at Cool Kind running smoothly.
You can catch her making iced lattes, obsessing over orange cats, or sharing inspo from one of her many Pinterest boards!
Meet Syd 🍌
Lead Nail Artist, Natural Nail Specialist + Colour Theory Expert
Syd (she/her) began her journey with tiny bottles of OPI polish and a love for playful, expressive design.
She’s known for bold, mix-and-match nail art and a colour combo that’s just right (hiiii, pink and orange).
When she’s not painting tiny strawberries on nails, she’s snuggling her cats, snacking on Cheez Whiz and crackers, or deep in her favourite fragrance podcasts.
Meet Cass 🪐
Apprentice, Glitter Goblin + Nerdy Nail Tech
Cass (she/her) is CKN’s official nail baby—learning the ropes, vibing with new clients, and occasionally dropping her nail art brushes (don’t worry, they bounce).
While she’s still exploring her signature style, one thing’s for sure: anything pink, sparkly, nerdy, or spooky has her heart.
When she’s not in the salon, she’s probably farming pixelated crops, rolling for initiative, rewatching her fave anime, or snuggling her fur children.
