How to Care for Your Feet After Your Appointment

Keep Up with Regular Pedicures πŸ“…

As a general guideline, we recommend booking a professional pedicure every 6–8 weeks to maintain healthy skin, manage callus buildup, and support proper nail growth.

If you have concerns such as deep heel cracks, excessive callus buildup, or other specific foot care needs, we may recommend appointments every 4 weeks at first to help improve your foot health.

Moisturize Every Day 🧴

Daily moisturizing is one of the best things you can do to maintain healthy feet.

Our favourite is Footlogix Professional Mousse, but any moisturizer specifically formulated for the feet that contains Urea is a great choice.

A Urea-based foot moisturizer helps to:

  • Hydrate dry skin
  • Reduce callus buildup
  • Prevent cracks and fissures
  • Keep feet smooth between appointments

Avoid using occlusive products like Aquaphor or Vaseline. They create a barrier that may make the skin feel softer temporarily but don't actively hydrate or improve dry, callused feet the way a Urea-based foot moisturizer does.

Wash & Dry Your Feet Daily 🫧

Wash your feet daily with warm water and soap and dry thoroughly, paying special attention between the toes.

Managing Callus Between Appointments 🦢

Some callus buildup between appointments is completely normal.

To maintain your results at home, use a foot file 1–2 times per week. If needed, you can also use an at-home callus softener as directed.

Less is more. Healthy callus serves an important protective function. Avoid aggressively filing or trying to remove all of it, as over-filing can lead to tenderness, sensitivity, and faster callus recurrence.

If you have diabetes, impaired circulation, or other medical foot concerns, consult your healthcare provider before performing any at-home callus care.

Toenail Care βœ‚οΈ

Trim your toenails straight across as needed to help reduce the risk of ingrown nails.

Additional Healthy Foot Habits ❀️

A few simple habits can go a long way in keeping your feet healthy.

Wear clean, breathable socks and properly fitting shoes that don't rub or compress your toes. Rotate your shoes between wears to allow them to dry completely.

Wear sandals or other protective footwear in public pools, locker rooms, and spa environments to help reduce the risk of infection.

If you notice persistent pain, swelling, discoloration, signs of infection, or other sudden changes in your feet, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
